In short, Lightning McQueen and Mater head overseas to compete in the first-ever World Grand Prix to determine the world’s fastest car. However the road to the championship is filled with plenty of potholes, detours and hilarious surprises when Mater gets caught up in international espionage.

The talking Mickey we wrote about in May of this year will begin making regular appearances at Disney’s California Adventure park as part of a new show. This is the first time that the “enhanced” Mickey character, which has a moving mouth and blinking eyes, will routinely appear in front of visitors at Disneyland Resort as he plays a central role in “Disney Dance Crew” that debuts Friday at California Adventure.

Disney/Pixar has released the first Cars 2 trailer teaser which clearly indicates that the awaited animated feature will also be a “spy” movie. They also released four pieces of concept-arts showing races in London, Paris, Porto Corsa and Japan.
Whereas the original cars took place in and around old Route 66, this one appears to go international.

The old Star Tours was pretty cool but let’s face it – after riding the attraction several times, it was pretty predictable what was going to happen next. That’s due in part because it was the same experience every time. Not so with Disney’s new version of Start Tours due to open next year.

Disney announces their “Let the Memories Begin” marketing plans for 2010 in which guests will become the stars of a nightly spectacular when photos taken in the park during the day become larger-than-life projections on Cinderella Castle at Walt Disney World Resort or “it’s a small world” at Disneyland Resort. Additionally, Disney guests will begin starring on television commercials as part of the new campaign.

After signing a fresh 20-year pact with the French government, Euro Disney hopes to build a third theme park on the current property. The new agreement enables the group, in which the Walt Disney Company holds a 40 percent stake, to continue building on the site in Marne-la-Vallée outside of Paris for a further 13 years.

Is a new Disney Vacation Club resort possibly is in the works at Walt Disney World’s River Country property? It is indeed according to theme park industry websites. Screamscape.com has reported spotting Disney engineers going over the site to determine what must done to clear away the remains of Disney World’s former River Country water park and create a new Disney Vacation Club resort.
