Walt Disney Studios is jumping on the D23 Expo bandwagon by adding four days of exciting programming that includes major overviews of upcoming films by Disney Studios Chairman Dick Cook and Disney-Pixar Chief Creative Officer John Lasseter, plus a full schedule of events spotlighting new releases and newly restored digital versions of classic favorites.
The lineup for the 27th annual “Night of Joy” held at Walt Disney World in Florida has been released. The two-night event is celebrating its second year at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and will take place from 7:00 p.m. to 12:15 a.m. on September 11 and 12. After winning a contest hosted by a Southern California radio station, two sisters from Santa Clarita will get to spend the night in Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion. Beginning in August 2009, Southern California’s landmark Disneyland Hotel will start a significant renovation project that will include major improvements to its guest rooms and considerable changes to the exterior of the hotel. The hotel will remain open during the renovation, which will be conducted in phases, and is scheduled to be completed in 2012.
